Tear in Reality Demo
A downloadable game
What is Tear in Reality?
Tear in Reality is a whacky RPG adventure with weird characters and an even weirder battle system.
In this short hour-long demo, follow Divona and our main character as they make their way to their old childhood hangout! (Located in the very safe location that is an abandoned warehouse.)
Enjoy a unique battle system with neat hand-drawn visuals, featuring fun action commands for your attacks and a fun dodging minigame for some added action.
Along the way, they'll encounter many enemies, from rats, to rats, to rats, and so much more! (Disclaimer, it's almost entirely rats.)
Please give the demo a whirl and give us your feedback! Any and all feedback would be incredibly useful.

For a small demo of a game from a seemingly very small new team, I'm more than impressed. The battle system is fun; especially when it came to the final boss of the demo, and I can definitely see room for plenty of challenging enemy attack patterns.
The writing and story are also quite entertaining for the small amount featured in the demo. While not every joke hit for me personally, plenty of the flavor text and dialogue got audible chuckles out of me. And while there wasn't all too much story actually featured in the demo, what was there makes me excited to see where things may go in the future.
In the end, my only real complaint is a bit of a nitpick. several times while going through text I would press the select button twice quickly to go to the next piece of dialogue to see the full line at once without having to wait for it to scroll. That led to several moments where I'd not realize I was at the end of the dialogue and accidentally interact with the object or NPC again. If it was possible to increase the scroll speed or even simply use the back button to progress text, that issue would be solved.
Despite my small issue with it, I highly recommend checking out this demo. I for one, will be waiting eagerly to see what this game becomes when it's finished and I am able to play the full release.
Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the demo (both the gameplay and the writing). I will also keep in mind the mentions of the issues with the text. I know a "go back" option is something I noticed would be useful after watching a couple people play the game lol
